Tommy Latham, representing Ave Maria (Georgia) placed third in the boys championship race at NXR Southeast on Sunday at WakeMed Soccer Complex in Cary, N.C., running 14:47.0. With that result, Latham  qualifies automatically to a spot on the starting line at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore. on Dec. 2.
