Season ends for local cross country runners

Brevard County runners were shut out in their attempts to qualify for national postseason cross country meets.
Running in the Southeast Region in the Nike Cross Nationals in Cary, N.C., Holy Trinity's boys were paced by senior Joey Castagnaro, who finished 39th in 15:59 but none of the runners nor the Holy Trinity team, running as a club since the prep season has concluded, qualified for the national meet next Saturday in Portland, Ore.
Also, no local runners qualified for the Foot Locker National Cross Country meet in San Diego.
